Eh, Im not amused. Why? You ask. Because lastnight while browsing on a non-porn, non-anything bad site my pc became very slow and chaos ensued kiddies...
Now, Ive got no access to the net on MY pc due to whatever happened. It lets me get past the network login and than a blank screen. No icons. No start menu. No nothing. Think thats bad? Noooo, it gets worse. When you do ctrl+alt+del the box that nornmally has your running programs listed in it, doesnt. My only option is to shut down. And the main deal is my Nortons Antivirus which I kept up-to-date, etc is useless because this thing disabled it. Grrrr!
So, my pc is gonna set awhile because I just dont have the extra $$ to toss around. Ive got a student loan Im behind 200$ on (which I *must* pay) and Ive got to pick up the tab for Anthonys eyeglasses because Mokah the other morning decided it would be lots of fun to chew them up. Lordy!
Those glasses were a mess. Scratched to shit, holes from her teeth, twisted frame were all that remained and an expense not needed right now but what can you do? Such is life and I must deal.
Oh, Thursday I went to the Funeral Home and spoke with Greg (co-owner of said establishment) and filled me in on stuff, getting to know me, my interests, etc. The probability of me being employed there is slim to none due to we live in a small town and with like 4 other funeral homes competing theres no money and no need to hire a 4th person to their crew. I totally understand that although I am abit bummed.
At the same time, hes going to discuss me doing practical work (as I originally wanted) with Dave (other owner) to see if that would be ok and because I would be a liablity. Yup, everyone wants to cover their ass. So, anyway if I can do the practical there I'll find out on Monday. God, I hope they give me at least that.
Greg gave me a tour of the funeral home and he asked me if I wanted to see a dead body (since really the only ones Ive seen have been either on TV, in pics or a friends/family death). I saw. I dont know what Greg expected me to do. Be disgusted? Upset? I was neither. It was just a dead body. I mean she appeared to be sleeping. John (embalmer) had already done his job so she was waiting for makeup and clothes. An older woman, she was.
On a metal table, white sheet draped over her body from the shoulders down with a block propping her head up.
I thanked him for his time than left.
Today was Anthonys dads gamma treatment. We got up to UK and suprisingly we didnt get lost. Im such the city gurl. Heh. Once we were at UKs hospital the wild goose chase to find his dad was on. It was tiresome and sucked but we *finally* found his mom, dad and brother waiting. His dad had a metal contraption on his head that was screwed into his skull. Shit did not look fun :(
His mom and I ventured off to the bathroom and eventually to the cafeteria for drinks. I love his mom, shes such a sweetheart. She kept asking me if I thought he'd be ok during the treatment. I was sure he would be....
We (Anthony, Nate (brother), his mom and I) all waited for so, so long but finally he was done and everything went as planned with no problems! :)
When we got home even though the boy was super tired (think he had been up for something like 20+ hrs) he hooked his PC up in Summers room so I could get online and wouldnt be bored while he was sleeping, awwww. Although, Im sure him being able to play his Final Fantasy game online helped make the decision, lol. Ahh well.
Alright, kiddies... enjoy the weekend.
