I'll show you mine, if you show me yours
@ 9:54 am on 30 September 2012

I haven't wrote in here in *so* long and when I do, its not about anything good.

I'm slightly freaking out from yesterdays events. What went down, you ask?

My son, age 6 was playing with a good friend of his, age 4 when he came home upset. The 4 year olds dad was waiting outside and my son took off into his room hiding. After much deciphering of what happened between the two boys, we discovered that they were playing a game of "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours". On two different occasions they each touched each other. Sounds simple, right? Wrong.

This father has all but accused my son of molesting his child and is calling his son a "victim".

If his son touched my son as well, I guess by rights my son is a "victim", too. I don't even begin to understand how a simple game and curiosity has lead to the types of accusations made. Then, I find out from the 4 year olds father that this happened to his older sister (also when she was 4) with a family member of theirs, who happened to be around 6 to 7 years in age. And, when this little girl was 5, a neighborhood kid was playfully spanking her while yelling, "giddyup" and the father took that to be sexual and confronted his parents. Apparently the parent of that boy simply said he gets a little excited.

What I find funny about that, is if it was such a problem and the father didn't like the mothers response to him playing with his daughter... why in the hell is he still letting them play and my son is no longer even allowed on their property?

I noticed to that everything the father mentioned revolved around sex and had sexual connotations to it. That creeps me out. So I guess, our boys wont be playing anymore, which is fine with me. The more I hear things this guy says the more I think he is a truly, clueless dingbat and I should be grateful my son isn't near him, which could be a real cause for concern.

I just hope the father doesn't do anything stupid in regards to my son (like getting police involved) and lets it go. How would you of handled this?
