Listening: Hypertrophy- Just Come Back To Me (Friburn n Unik Mix)
Wow. For some reason it feels abit strange writing in here. True its only been afew days since I was last here but still. Anyway, Ive been finishing up the last of my packing cause Allied will be picking up my things from my folks house on 4 June- so that means a hellacious weekend is coming up for me.
Cause Im gonna have to get my things from my place and take them to my folks otherwise Allied will charge me for that trip too. Grr.
Allied turned out to be costly but so is every other method of shipping Ive discovered. The only thing I can say that is good bout them is that they'll unpack and put things (the boxes) in the rooms their designated to be and the beds? They'll assemble that. And its COD so thats nice too. I can hold onto 1800$ for abit longer. Yay! :P
Now, Im just doing last minute things: school & med records etc etc etc. I brokedown and did a 'to-do' list. Its helped me alot though. I also called the lady at the electric co. and verified with her that Im all set for 1 June (since thats when the boy will be there) and Im taking care of the water utils. today.... which reminds me Ive got to fax the paperwork back and mail them their deposit.
Sharon has decided to make the trip down with me. She'll be Devin and Antwon free... that'll be nice for her. Poor thing never gets a break.
Were leaving earlier than planned too so we can have some time to goof off and be retards, heh. Ahh, why does it feel like the time me and her took off to Kansas City and spent loads of $$ we didnt really have, causing chaos at rest stops and just having some good 'ol fun?
Something tells me fun times are gonna be coming up soon and we'll get a jumpstart on 3 June. Yeeehaw!
My dads surgery went well. Those who prayed~ thank you muchly :D
Hes in good spirits...
Yesterday was a looooong day and it was spent entirely up at Summer's school. They had a BBQ. Kids and parents were everywhere... it was nice to see the involvement of so many parents with their kids. Im big on that. I think it makes the kids do much better all around ya know?
So, after talking to some of the teachers from when Sum was in their classes it was time for the Honor Roll Reception. Heh, it was abit silly. They had the band play like 4 songs (to eat up time would be my guess) and than Dr. Christensen got the ball rolling handing out awards to everyone who was invited.
Sum got one for being on the Academic Team, being an Honors student the entire year and for being an outstanding student. Go Peeky!!!
Proud mommmy I am :)
After the awards the 4th, 5th and 6th graders had an egg drop contest. That was fun to watch. I got abit teary-eyed though. Looking around seeing all the people Sum has had in her life at such an early age, her friends, the school itself... Im gonna miss it. I always figured she would be here to finish up her elementary years at that one school. Ahh well.
I know kids are resiliant (sp?) but sometimes the parents arent, heh. :P
My lil Mokah should be back from the Vets today, too. Lastnight I had to run her up to the Animal Hospital because she cut her nose on a piece of broken glass and DAMN! did she hurt herself. :/
We couldnt get her nose to stop bleeding for anything and she was shaking. Talk about feeling helpless. So, Miss Vet Lady said she would board her overnight and see how her nose was doing in the afternoon.
Well, I suppose I'll end this right here. Ive got something on my mind that Id love to write about but at the same time it would prolly be best I didnt mention anything in here. Grrr.
