*insert vets name here* your goin DOWN Some of my fellow rescuers and I have discovered one of the vets here in town abuses the animals. One of their former workers came forward with all sorts of information. Some of the things said were that during spays/neuters the anethesia would wear off and the animal would wake up, still in the middle of procedure and be screaming or crying out in pain.... that someone who worked close by the vet yelled "shut this animal up and lets finish up". Turns out no other medicene was given to this animal and they had to endure the pain until the vet was finished up. That's straight up bullshit! Im not a big animal rights activist freak but this shit definetly pisses me off. These people who are vets, Im assuming wanted to be vets to help these animals not abuse them and cause them pain. And I think whats worse is one of the rescues here uses this vet as a place for people who cant afford to get their animals spayed/neutered at regular costs so this vet does it for cheap. I had taken my pitbull, Junior (hehe, named after Dale Earnhardt Jr.. wasnt too obvious was it?) there to be neutered being it had been recommended. We'll I know they did something to him, I immediately knew it once I picked him up-- he seemed so fearful and was eager to leave. Even at home he didnt act the same. I had to take him back a week later to get the stitches removed and than what I had known a week before became very obvious. Junior was scared to go inside and once I got him inside and they wanted me to bring him back into the room I literally had to drag him..... and once inside we had to wait 30+ minutes. During that time he was shaking uncontrollably, eyes wide with fear, panting fast, heart pounding. I had NEVER seen him like this not even at the vet I normally took him too. We could hear dogs barking and whining in the back and people shouting at them, all of that just seemed to freak him out even more. They had definetly done something to him to make him so fearful and once I confronted the vet he just brushed it off as normal anxiety. Yeah, thats bullshit. This was not the 1st dog Ive owned that was neutered so I knew what "normal" was. Ive decided to come forth with what I know and see what can be done through the proper channels so something can be done and this fucking place can be shut down. |
