Time flies..... Knock, knock. Does anyone remember me? Gah, It's been forever! But I bring an update of whats been going on, which, sadly isnt much. I did manage to find my images from my old site (still down....) and got them to a new home until I figure out what to do... like re-signing up for a domain... so at least the site looks pretty again. And I managed to find what I like to say is my fave pic of the boy and put him up off to the side. Yay! So. Where to begin? As of today, no lil chompers to report either. Men! Lazy even when theyre babies. Heh. He's finally enrolled in College and hopefully before too long I'll be back at CCMS to finish up on my Associates. Than let the fun begin.... DEAD BODIES! Ahem... And last but not least some sad news. July 8th my grandpa was hospitalized for what they thought was his gall bladder. Turns out he had a mild heart attack from his body being stressed. During that week at the hospital, he struggled as the cancer progressed. My grandpa got to the point where he couldnt even eat or sip some water. It got real bad and towards the end got to where he couldnt even open his eyes.
I got up to Nebraska on July 19th, went to his viewing on July 20th- which was very beautiful. The funeral home did a real nice job. Makes me proud to know that one day soon I too will be able to provide comfort to a grieving family. To do a great job on their loved one, to make them feel re-assured as this place did for me with my grandpa. :) The funeral was on July 21st. Amazing. Thats the only word I can use to describe it. The songs chosen by my family were right on, and I believe grandpa wouldve been pleased. My grandpa was a WWII vet. The casket was draped with the United States flag and than folded and presented to us. He also recieved the 21 gun salute. |
