yay for good news! *yawns... still so tired*
Yesterday was Anthonys dads surgery. His parents went to the hospital around 6a and the DRs did some tests before his surgery at 8a. Around 20 family members were up there for support the *entire* 5 hrs the surgery lasted. What awesome support! I guess you can tell what kind of person Frank is by the family caring so much and spending their entire morning/afternoon together, waiting and just having a good 'ol time amongst themselves while waiting. Anthony called me around 1p. He had got home from the hospital to talk to me for abit and catch up on some sleep before heading back since his dad was in recovery. It was good to hear his voice and hear him calm because he was so upset. Early Tuesday morning I sent him an email to bring his spirits up. I wondered what I would say to him because he is a pretty sensitive guy and I didnt want to say anything that would slightly upset or imply anything bad. Luckily, the words came out beautifully and it ended up being a very touching, heartfelt email. :)
I decided being he was back to his usual self and confident about his dads outcome I would ask him if he wanted to wait on coming up. When I did you could hear the hurt in his voice and he was like, "Do you not want me to come up?" Heh, I had to laugh, couldnt help myself... Im like, "yeah I still want you up here". I explained the reason why I had asked which was cause I figured he'd want to spend as much time with his dad as he could and I wasnt going to take away from that. So, yeah looks like the boy is looking towards the end of March. Yay, yay, yay! Summer has her first Girl Scouts meeting today afterschool. She conned me into signing up as a Co-leader but now (secretly, I admit) that Im hoping maybe I could be the actual leader. Than again, Im not really the one who likes being responsible for so much. I'll just play it by ear. Anyway, I updated about the most important thing right now and that was my purpose. Please continue to keep Frank and the family in your prayers..... |
