tornados, grilling, hail and juju The weekend was pretty uneventful. Spent more time cruising around in the car, I love that car. Grilled out over the weekend, such good eats! Burgers, hotdogs, italian sausages, bratwurst and steak. Toss in some coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob and dessert and it was a good meal. *Tummy appreciated the food* I love this time of year, I grill as much as I can, daily if I can pull it off! My friend, Brian made a good recommendation about grilling pizza. Hmm, that could be very tasty! I told him I would try it. I got to talk with JuJu and that was super excellent! I told him how I had made us a special spot on diaryland that either he or I can write in to share whats on our minds.... you know from daily stuff, thoughts about each other, stories, etc. I was thinking he would think it was a silly idea BUT I was wrong, he really loved the idea and considered it a "keepsake" for our relationship. The weather we had today was incredible! I love this kind of weather. Rain, gloomy days, cool, thunder, lightning.... my fave stuff. Maybe I would do well in Seattle?? :) Anyways, we were under a tornado warning for what seemed like forever.... In the end it was more west and southwest of where I live.... kind of disappointed me to be honest. I live for these storms and Im always the goof outside on the porch watching the skies as if a tornado is going to appear and say "hi". My parents' house was in the area, but they didnt have any damage except water coming into the kitchen from the slider door that leads out to the balcony. I wonder if they didnt have it shut all the way?? Seemed odd. At least the skylights in the house survived this time around because last year with all the hail-- they were shattered. My brother owns a paintball field in Plattsmouth and there was a tornado that touched down in that area off of HWY 60. And yes, they had things going on down there at the field... so I hope everyone was safe. Nothing like being in the line of a whirling, pissed off tornado in open fields, gah. The hail was anywhere from golf ball to baseball sized and ALOT of people will be doing alot of talking to insurance companies for the damages... Im just happy that the hail wasnt that big over here where I am and that there was no damage on my new car... man I wouldve been HOT ....time to go update me and my babys diary, give him something good to read.
