Ouch! I stepped on a pin! listening: to the sounds of scorpion kicking sonya's ass on mortal kombat the video game We'll I highly doubt I'll be employed by West much longer. My sup, J, told me that I'm on a level 2 pin now which basically translates into 6mos. probationary period. Last week I was late 3x's (I even called and let them know that, suppose that doesn't count for anything-- as you can see). And the 3rd time late resulted in me being there on time but couldn't clock in because the famous kronos machine was totally off-limits because they we're doing something with it. But that's my fault. Blah. So, last Friday (heh, that same week I was late) I called in (that was the day by sup was supposed to inform me that I had got a level 1 pin) so since I called in, that gave me a level 2 pin. J told me that if I got a level 3 pin that was termination. Hmmm, interesting. I don't know how I feel about it. I think it's damn weird/convienant on management's part how all the grave people are on pins. J (co-worker) repeatedly falls asleep on the shift, so they skipped level 1 pin and gave him a level 2 pin. So, I guess if he fucks up once in any way he's out. What he did this morning could be his ticket out too. We have a specific door for staff only. Call me crazy but I work there... I consider myself staff, wouldn't you?? If you use these doors and your not in a supervisor/higher up position/security guard or cleaning than my friends YOU are not staff. How's that for a workplace. Stupid rules. Sorry, back to co-worker's ticket out. So, he went out these sacred doors and the security guard was hot on his trail.... I have no idea where J had parked his car but *poof* it was nowhere in sight and seriously the guard having nothing better to do with his time at 7am gave chase. Ridiculous. K got her a level 1 pin because she didn't come in Monday night. Her car was giving her crap. So, her sup (whose name also starts with a J) tells her she had time to get it fixed that afternoon and that there was NO excuse why she shouldn't have been there at work. Her sup did try calling me at midnight to come in but I wasn't around here. Maybe he should've asked me for my cell #. So, because K didn't come in. Her sup and his sup had to sit there and do what we would normally do. J & S we're not happy about that. Now THAT I would've loved to have seen especially when they're always going on about "Oh, we're supervisors", "That isn't our job to sit there and do what you do". Assholes. So, all the night people are walking on pins lol... eh couldn't help myself there, simply too easy. I was saying to J and K lastnight how it'd be absolutely GRAND if we all quit right than and there. That would force the sups to do all our work. Plus, it would leave them extremely short staffed. These are things S obviously didn't think about when he told our sups to give us these (sarcasm) wonderful pins. |
