dinner, last minute preps Oh, hell I'm on a entry writing roll so I might as well continue with today's events. Umm, since I do this at weird hours my idea of today is actually yesterday's events. Maybe I should back date this so I don't confuse myself one of these times. Working this shift I'm always confused. Anyways, today (18 APR 03) after writng that entry about the new guy and coming home to sleep for approx. 3 1/2 hours I breezed into work and demanded my paycheck from the temp. supervisor aka the royal ass kisser. Briefly talked to the PACs (weird names for their jobs, but hey who am I to judge what idiot comes up with these superficial bullshit titles to make these shmucks feel good about their daily work activities??? I guess if being called a PAC makes you hustle into work and all that, than yay for you!) Went shopping at Nobbies (hate that damn place), Walmart (yet another place I'm beginning to hate), and Target (my true discount love). I realized "oh look at the time (it was 4pm) we have to be at AppleBee's at 5pm" Once it finallydawned on me the time (by than I believe it was close to 430pm) I had to hurry home to get gramps and let my lil girl change her clothes into something alittle more appropriate for dinner out and with the familia. So, I know I'm going to be late as I frantically call all the familia and tell them if they should get there before me than to please get a table. This seems to happen to me ALL the time. I think I just suck like that-- definetly not the most punctual person in the world. We get there and everyone is there. Everyone being: Seth, Silvino, Mom, Dad, myself, Rog, Summer (daughter), Gramps and "D". We all ordered our food, which was most yummy by the way... I had a cowboy burger and 2 glasses of pepsi AND afew marquritas (my loves). We decided to embarass Summer by letting them know it was her birthday. They let us enjoy our meal before totally humiliating us--- you hear this faint clapping getting louder and louder until there they all are, several waiters, waiteresses, etc standing in front of your table.... they ask for everyone to be quiet as they make this big announcement and go on to wish whomever a Happy Birthday and they all start singing this goofy song and than everyone erupts into hollering and clapping as they present the birthday person with a most delicious hot fudge sundae. Too bad it wasn't my birthday! We eventually said our goodbyes and went our seperate ways for the night. I had Summer's dad watch her as I finished up all the last minute crap to take care of before tomorrow's festivities begin. I'm so glad I have tomorrow off and than my two days, Sunday and Monday. I didn't have to cover anyone, ahh a nice four day weekend. I went shopping and got some necessites and than I forgot that Sunday was Easter! How could I forget that??? So, I busted my bunny tail getting all of that done too. Big Sigh I know that there is more to say and update but kiddies I'm so toasted right now that I must close my eyes while I can.... another hellish long day ensues tomorrow with 12 kids.... please don't let them be demons...... |
